Damon Nash has done a pretty good job; I can’t tell how much i love the original song, created by Geinoh Yamashirogumi for Akira; I was kinda obsessed with it for days after I first heard it in Akira , for me the music + anime + story approaches perfection…I also fell in love with gamelan, music ensemble from Indonesia, in Paris you can be part of a gamelan at Cité de la Musique ( I think that’s fabulous !). Below you’ll find a video with Geinoh Yamashirogumi playing the original “Kaneda” theme.
